Our day started with the fabulous breakfast downstairs in our hotel... We just got back from a nice dinner and I'm already thinking about breakfast in the morning...
Sergent Taylor picked us up today around 7:30. I needed to do laundry, she had said the night before that she would drop me off at the laundry matt so I could get that done.. it's on base not far from where Mason was inproccessing at the hospital... Can't say to much about doing laundry....
I spent some time at the hospital in the computer room again... It's my home away from home these days....
We had an appointment at the housing place at 1:30. Sergent Taylor took us there only to find out that Mason and all the other military people could go to the briefing but no one else... So that's another hour sitting waiting ....Oh well.
After that Sergent Taylor brought us to the hotel and we waited for a couple to bring their car by for us to look at... it's a 1996 VW Pasat.... we haven't made a decison on it yet...
But the best part of the day was dinner... We went to a new place walking distance from the hotel... MaMa West southern style cooking.... We ordered, ate our food that was pretty good and then, the owner came out and started talking to us...
This women is fabulous... She has more soul then anyone I've ever met... Her stories are amazing, she talks about how God has always been a big part of her life, about her family and how important family is, her childhood, her adult life and how she touches the lifes of those soilders who have been injured and are at the base hospital... she is well known in this town for her kindness and love... She struggles to keep her doors open and a roof over her head just like so many of us...but she believes in the Lord and that the Lord will provide her with what she needs... He has taught her not to worry about yesterday because there's nothing you can do about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because it hasn't come yet... and you only need to think about the next 24 hours... and she prays ever morning that He will take care of her for those 24 hours... As soon as we walked out of her restaurant, I realized that during the time she sat and talked to us I forgot about all my worry's... I felt more at ease, more relaxed then I've felt in months...This women really is blessed.
we will go back and have dinner there again just to visit with her ....
nighty, night
