Our plans have been made.. London it is...We'll leave here Saturday morning February 12th, drive to Frankfurt which is about a 2 hour car drive. Hop on a plan to London around noon, and be there about an hour and a half later... Not sure what the plan is yet for the rest of the day, but Sunday will be filled with lots of walking and seeing the sights. Monday, February 14th Rebecca takes her test to become an RN, so she will be tied up for a few hours.. But we will be foot loose and fancy free in London for another day of exploring. When she is done testing she will join us...
I have several places I want to see... Westminster Addy, Big Ben, Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. I'm up to seeing anything and everything that's there to see.
Valentines Day is Monday, the day we will be coming home... (also the day TaraLee finds out if she's having a girl or a boy..) After a day of running around, we will fly out of London around 8:00 pm. Arrive in Frankfurt around 9:30, go thru customs and drive back home.. Steve is gussing we will get home around 12:30am.. I'll be tired at work the next day with only 4 1/2 hours of sleep, but it'll be worth it..
Don't know what we'll be doing today.. Mason has to see if he can fix the windsheild wipers on our car.. Friday as we were driving in the rain, they just stopped working.. boy, was that scary. Driving on the Autobahn without wipers is not fun. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...
Last night we went to a community band concert with Ruth, Steve, Rebecca and Sarah.. We went once before. Ruth's son plays in the band.. He is the one that played Christmas songs for us at Ruth's house on Christmas Day. It lasted 2 1/2 hours... When it was over we rushed to Steve's house to watch the Seattle Seahawks play against the Saints.. The Seahawks were supposed to loss but they didn't .. It was a most exciting game.. We were up until 2:00 in the morning watchng it... (it was live so with the time change) I'm a little tired today... I haven't seen 2:00 in the morning for a long, long time.
It's raining out side again and all our snow is gone.. It looks like Spring out there and feels like it too...Weird, just last week we were plowing thru snow...
We did slid into our first snow bank the other day.. Coming down our hill to go to work, the street was just like an ice rink.. packed snow under us with freezing rain falling.. Mason was driving and we weren't going very fast. We got stuck in a man hole. I tried to push us out but couldn't... Mason had to get out and push. Didn't do any damage to the car.
Before I forget to tell you.. Yesterday we found a wonderful shop in down town Landstuhl. It's called European Country Living. The whole store was nothing but Christmas decorations and everything was half off... It's kind of an expensive store so even at half off I didn't get much. Just a few nice ornaments for the tree.. In the States the stores have gotten to where they carry so much junk for decorations ... it's hard to find nice ornaments anymore.. This store has Very nice things.. We are going back in a few days and see if everything goes down to 75% off... I heard one of the workers tell a customer that their warehouse is full of new things just waiting to come out, but they have to get rid of the Christmas first...and there was still alot of Christmas left.
