Yesterday was a very sunny day in Ramstein where our hotel is and since this is the first weekend we have had a car we decide to go sight seeing... It was time to get out and about....

Mason got on line and found that in Frankfurt they have a Flea market every Saturday... so off we went.. First, we called our friend Steve who didn't want to hang out at his house all by himself and asked if he wanted to go with us... Yeah, it didn't take much to convince him to go...

Frankfurt is about 120 miles from Ramstein. Thank goodness for GPS.. don't know how anyone gets around without one... Will we got to where the flea market was suppost to be but no flea market.. they were setting up for an Iron Man contest the next day.. oh well...

But we didn't let that spoil our day.. we walked all around down town Frankfurt and found it quite intertaining.. We found this beautiful church, went inside and drooled over its beauty..
then we walked and walked.. lots of very high end shops that line both sides of the street.. all with very pretty things inside.. and people, people, people everywhere... Oh, I forgot to tell ya the first most exciting thing was when we were leaving the parking garage I had to go potty, will that potty cost me .20 euro. I had to pay to get in the door... WOW!!

anyway, we sat and ate at a couple outdoor cafe. they are every where... people watched, and just enjoyed the day... the let me tell ya.. I had never been in humidity like that before.. It was around 80 degrees with 75% humidity... I looked like a sticky, wet drowned rat... Even my bangs were wet.. GROSS!!! But we still had fun...

After we got back to the hotel, we cleaned up and went to a fourth of July festival on base...
ate again, and sat and waited for the fire works to began... the fire works were okay at best, but you can't complain when it's free... There were several thousand people there....

then it was back to the hotel for bed.. we were both very tired from our exciting day....

I didn't tell you about our first movie at a German theater... We went to see Eclipse.. bought our tickets and noticed that we had asigned seats... so I went back up to the ticket guy and asked, is this open seating or do we really have to sit in certain seats... ? Guess what? It was asigned seating... WEIRD! The theater was only half full so don't know why the asigned seats...
And you can buy beer there and drink it while watching the show...!
I have a lot to learn....

We move into our duplex first part of August.. we can't wait...

It's time for a soda so I'm going to love you all and leave you for now...
