Tonight we ate dinner at our favorite restaurant.. It's a Greek place just across the street from the hotel....It's called Metaxa .. We eat there at least twice a week... but tonight we not only had a great dinner but entertainment as well.... A storm came through right after we got there and it felt like home... Reminded us of the Monsoons we have in Arizona, only worse because there are no washes here... The river running down the street was at least 5 inches deep and when cars went by, the wake they left behind was amazing... The street is not well traveled, but it was fun to watch anyway... Soon after the river started to flow, the emergency vehilces came and opened up drains in the road to let the water go down... What we found funny about that was the people in the emergency vehicles didn't have fire fighter gear on.. they had on tank tops, tee shirts and jeans... not anything I would expect someone driving an emergency vehicle wearing... Oh well, we laughed and had a great dinner... that's what life is all about.... finding the fun in little things..
