We all have gone to a pumpkin patch..

And every year I look forward to going again... When I was in Arizona and went with TaraLee and Malachi, not only was it fun to be there with my grandson, but I got the cutest pictures.. Yeah, Malachi was the cutest thing in the pictures but I found that pumpkins take really good pictures.. (they are very photogenic..)

anyway.. this year I had to go without my grandkids but knew that I'd have great photo opportunities. So when I found that there was a Farm Festival just 15 miles from our house we had to go... They have over 30 varieties of pumpkins. Hitscherhof Farm Festival in Massweiler Germany... Great place to go....

It was a two day Festival with vendors that set up tents to sell their crafts, antiques, homemade jams, wine, honey and many other wonderful things to eat. Everyone was getting this pumpkin soup. At first I thought, no I'm not going to try it.. but then I thought why not.. and ya know it was really good...I'm not big on pumpkin pie but this was Good !

They have a large corn field maze, a flower garden where you pick your own flowers, hay stacks for the kids to play on and some other fun things for kids to do.

Steve and Mason toasted in the fall season with a glass of beer. It was pretty cool, the beer that Mason got came with free refills.. We didn't know that until he went up to get another one. I've never heard of free re fills on beer... WOW...

We were there for about 3 hours and had a great time.. and of coarse I took lots of pictures..

We will put this on the calendar to go again next year... Great way to bring in the fall season...

The rest of our weekend was pretty quiet.. We stayed home and watched a few movies... Ya know every once in a while one needs to just take a day off and sit back and relax.
